The record

Forty years of decisions, carried through to outcome.

Between 2006 and 2016, as Global Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for Australian Wool Innovation and The Woolmark Company, he led the global revival of the Australian wool industry. The programme lifted grower returns from under AUD 7 per kilogram in 2006 to over AUD 21 per kilogram by 2016, stabilised the industry at approximately AUD 3 billion in annual economic contribution, and established the Woolmark logo among the world's twenty most recognised brand marks. It remains the longest single-engagement validation window behind the CALIBRA framework.

He has since led strategic engagements across more than five hundred client organisations, including the scaling of the Mulloon Institute, the consolidation phase of Singapore's Smart Nation programme, and the post-acquisition integration of a major Australian financial-services group. His buy-side practice operates across the AUD 0.5M to AUD 50M deal band, with a focus on health and wellness, technology and consumer brands.

He is the originator of the CALIBRA framework and the author of the twelve-volume series. He has judged the Dragons of Asia creative-effectiveness awards since their inception, served as strategic adviser to the Mulloon Institute from 2023 to early 2026, and has chaired and served on a number of private boards. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business. He acknowledges the lasting influence of Stephen King and Judith Lannon, of Byron Sharp and Jenni Romaniuk, and of Professor Mark Ritson.

Beyond his commercial work he is the author of the SpecOps thriller Off The Hook, co-author of the non-fiction work Women – The Quiet Revolution, and the author of numerous commercially focused articles and publications.
